Vanessa Fox and the team at Third Door Media have given me an incredible opportunity - the opportunity to speak at SMX. Following Danny’s great explanation of what they were looking for in terms of pitches, I thought about my experience and what I could share with attendees. I pitched some ideas for local and voila - I’m in for the local panel :D

Congrats Gab :-)
You dont have to divvy up USD 200 per night to stay at the main hotel. Sure, stay in their bar until 2 am talking SEO, but save a few quid on a bed, by shopping around. In London, I usually stay about 5 minutes walk from the conference venue for about a third of the price, or 12 minutes walk from the venue for a fifth of the price.Last year I got 4 nights for the equivalent of about USD 225 at the latter, and that included an all-you-can-eat breakfast. This year, the usual places were full, so I did 5 nights for the equivalent of about USD 550. It would have been at least double that in the main venue.
Where are you staying then? Can you message me? My concern is that if I need quick access to my room that I dont want to have to be walking back and forth constantly.
Congratulations - Pisher headline? Priceless.
Thanks Kevin, glad you liked it :D
By the way, I cant see your profile when I click your name??
Thats going to be a great panel. Congrats Gab, looking forward to it.

Well done! I am pretty sure you rock there!
Burgo, its because he used a . in his user name (which we do say not to do). The system will create a name but cant make a profile. Ill get someone to look at it.
Gab, If theres anyone that will works their "a" off to make it a worthwhile experience - youre the guy. Im trying to re-arrange my schedule to attend. Hope to do so. Sean
