Small business owners tend to work on tight budgets & tighter time constraints. This often means they are forced to focus efforts on ONE form of marketing. WHAT SHOULD IT BE??? (Thanks Jen)

I’m afraid I don’t agree.  I believe the leverage of a blog with its news feed in human and search engine terms means that it is almost always the way to go.

Whilst I have been concentrating on the RSS route, I will be concentrating on email more in the future, fed by RSS - not quite the newsletter approach, but I hope a little more responsive.

i think this is a no-brainer. do the blog and you have the email newsletter & rss feed channels already built in, 3 for 1.

I turned off the web for one of my info sites.. hit the home page URL and it says "add the feed to your feed reader".  Obviously not a search marketing  tactic, but it works well for this site where current info is important but past info should not be  taken without some  current  commentary.

I agree with Chris (northrock) Do a blog and then use the RSS to email option. Or, archive your email newsletters to a blog.
