i work in the SEM agency enviroment, and am in charge of a lot of training myself. Training is absolutely a daunting task, especially with inexperienced account managers. The problem with taking the google manual to learn from is they will learn google standards and not the in house best practices. While it may be a good idea for basic knowledge, you also have to train with your SEM agencies, best practices and advanced techniques that google is not going to do.

The book seems to be "How to advertise at Google" rather than "How to advertise effectively at Google".  Its a good starting out point for those looking to learn how AdWords and AdSense work.Check out page 131... Activity 8-2: Designing A Website for AdSense.  C’mon Google, is that really what students should be learning?  :)
