Jesus Marty... what I am supposed to say about this one? A freakin Greek tragedy. While death threats are INSANE... the underlying anger towards marketers in general seems to be another topic for discussion on its own. …. And my condolences on your grief on that BTW.

SEW - Turns out that bands of longtime-member roving thugs, angry that search marketers have diluted the StumbleUpon content pool (which is true), leave violent and obscene public reviews in droves. SU is slow to react, if at all. After chronicling the experience in several StumbleUpon blog posts, the attacks on my public SU profile increased (must be logged into SU to view). Moderators stepped in and booted a single user for an unrelated TOS violation.

Follow all the links in the post. I would expect that eBay won't abide by this level of negitive PR. The problem for eBay is that it's all true.

That is sad to see a great community going to pot and ebay doesn't care to bathe it's $75 million step-child.

Marty - I'm really disturbed by what you've experienced. It's intolerable that your attackers are pulling a "na*i" card. That makes me sick to the soul. It's one thing to argue, but racial hatred should not be tolerated, ever. I'm really sorry to read of this happening to you.

I see you've called for a truce but did you have any hand in egging them on by writing posts that refer to them as stumble trolls, or whatever else?  Sometimes a staid, seemingly objective article masks a passive-aggressive return volley... either way, good wishes in bringing about a resolution.
