I'm going to go out on a very wide and stable limb here and say that nothing any of us create should be on citeulike. My wife has papers there as a result of 10 years of research. I can promise you - there ain't no click throughs into our world.

I'm the creator of the Socializer. Thanks for your review, and here are some responses.
Basically, the service is aimed at webmasters who do not want to worry about keeping up with social services, and also to help save website real estate by having a single link to all the services instead of having many links. I'll fix the MesFaves link tonight when I get a chance.
"But, you say, couldn't they change that and break this service?"
Yes they can. But I will update the Socializer and every single page that uses the service will be updated. Yes I keep everything up to date. You as a webmaster will not have to worry about changing all your links if one social service changes their submission URL.
"It lacks any way to keep track of what you've done"
True but that was never the aim. It's not a service the target user (website visitors) would need but webmasters would find it very useful. I cannot comment on future plans too much ;)
"It offers the ability to post information to inappropriate places"
That's up to your website's visitors. If they use delicious or magnolia, they get access to both.
"It has no TOS"
Fair point. I don't see the need for one. Bots will get blocked if they abuse the site in general. eKstreme.com has a privacy policy, which I stick to religiously. I'll see about adding some ToS for the Socializer and the site too.
"There is no monetization"
This one always troubled me. At the moment, the Socializer is positioned as a free service for webmasters to offer to their visitors. I think attempting to monetize that is wrong because essentially the ads will be competing with the bookmarking links. As a webmaster, I would rather have them bookmark my pages!
"The workflow is horrible. "
OK. Thanks for the feedback. I'm open to suggestions.
"I can't even figure out how to contact the owner."
Sure you can. There is a link to the contact page under the "What's the Socializer?" section. I take your point it could be better labelled. I'll change that too.
While we're on the topic, all feedback is welcome. Fire away!
Thanks again for your review.

Pierre -
Looking back, I should have made it more clear that I was not intending to attack anyone or anything, but give a tough-but-fair review. Sorry if it came across that way.
I also probably should have mentioned the "webmaster" aspect of this, but, frankly, it really struck me as much more a end-user thing.
So, just so I understand, your monetization is inbound links?

No offence taken. I always appreciate feedback.
The whole site runs ads in various forms. They make money that pays for hosting. it's all a bundle: the Socializer, the SEO tools, the blog, etc.
There are ads on the Socializer. They are CPM and they earn very little. Once every few months, I try another network or take them off completely. They earn very little money, hence the constant experimentation. CPC ads paid a grand total of zero. I'm not kidding.
So again, while we're on the subject: feedback and feature requests in the comments here please!
Pierre
This tool has the potential for becoming a hottie in a short time. Nice work, man!
Just a quick update:
It seems the MesFaves site is not working at all. I disabled the link for now.
The contact link has been tweaked.
The ToS will take a little bit longer to get them right.
Cheers,
Pierre
I hooked this up a while back and it worked great. Then for a while not so much. For every click to bookmark it asked me to prove I was a real person (from what I recall). Anyway, I moved over to AddThis.com and it's been great.
