Avi Wilensky interviews Craigslist founder Craig Newmark about a variety of things, including SEO: "SEO is more ethical and less obtrusive than many other online marketing methods. In comparison to many other marketing tactics, SEO is appropriate and not spammy, and it uses sites in a positive way. With time, people get a lot smarter about SEO."

Two-part interviews are harder to link to, but I'm submitting part 2. Newmark talks about social media and other topics in the first part.
