Digg’s Kevin Rose has officially announced what we’ve all seen over the past week or so: it’s now a lot harder to push your content onto the front page of Digg. In fact, Digg’s adjusting its algorithm so that you’ll need well north of 100 Diggs to have any chance. Yep, Digg’s move will cause many marketers to suffer from ED - election dysfunction.

Tanner, since everyone here knows even public groups that you can buy votes with, they had to do it. Doing what they did pisses the gamers ( my own friends are in a few groups) off understandably.

@Lodispoto, I’m having mixed feelings. Some have speculated that Digg is making the adjustments in preparation for a quick sell. If this is the case, and Digg is making changes just for the potential income, then it was unnecessary. However, both as a Digg user and social media marketer I feel it was a necessary evolution. I just hope the change was brought about for the right reasons.
