The judges have done a lot of reading, they’ve deliberated and debated, and they’ve decided on the finalists for the 2008 SEMMY Awards. Starting at 12:00 pm ET (9:00 am PT) today, the finalists in all 15 categories will be revealed on the SEMMYS web site.

I am not sure what is more evil, releasing each category 5 minutes apart, or doing it in reverse order.

Are these the only awards not affected by the writers strike?

Matt, I have enjoyed the Semmy’s and like that the nominations are by ’experts’ but the rest of us gets the final say.  Just wondering what will happen to that wonderful list of links that are now pared down?

@todd -- Can you imagine if there was a writer’s strike in our industry? (shudder)@Michael -- I was super glad to see the judges put your article in the finals.@Miriam -- ditto. :-)@LocalHound -- the nominee announcement posts are still on the site. Just click the category links in the header and you’ll find them. Is that what you’re referring to?@Marty -- thank you. David Mihm deserves all the credit for the site. He’s terrific!
