The judges have done a lot of reading, they’ve deliberated and debated, and they’ve decided on the finalists for the 2008 SEMMY Awards. Starting at 12:00 pm ET (9:00 am PT) today, the finalists in all 15 categories will be revealed on the SEMMYS web site.

I am not sure what is more evil, releasing each category 5 minutes apart, or doing it in reverse order.
hehehe... :-)
Are these the only awards not affected by the writers strike?
Made it to the finalists in the small-business category. A huge thank you to Matt McGee for doing an incredible amount of work on these awards. Excellent example of building community!

Matt, I have enjoyed the Semmys and like that the nominations are by experts but the rest of us gets the final say. Just wondering what will happen to that wonderful list of links that are now pared down?
Matt, the site is SO well done. Good luck with the awards.
@todd -- Can you imagine if there was a writers strike in our industry? (shudder)@Michael -- I was super glad to see the judges put your article in the finals.@Miriam -- ditto. :-)@LocalHound -- the nominee announcement posts are still on the site. Just click the category links in the header and youll find them. Is that what youre referring to?@Marty -- thank you. David Mihm deserves all the credit for the site. Hes terrific!
