Yes, but - this could be an example of traffic for traffic's sake. People looking for a tech solution are not looking to subscribe to a blog, are they?

Brian, even on days w/o much SU/Sphinn/... traffic when 90% or more of my visitors come from search engines, often looking for technical solutions, I get the usual number of new RSS subscribers.

Yes, but what sort of conversion rate are we talking about?

I think it's a massive problem that webmasters are still thinking about traffic - not members. Getting traffic is easy - getting members is a different issue entirely.
