According to a recent Editor & Publisher article, putting the same keywords in your meta tags 500 times is a way to garner additional search traffic.

Arrgh! That 500 times quote is from a guy whose firm’s tag line is, "Tomorrow’s Media, Understood Today".

Great find Nick.  I’ve updated my post to reflect this.  I’m glad to see they were pro-active and removed the bad information.  I just hope there weren’t to many that have already read the original and been affected.
