Well, I disagree with #10, but apart from that, youre damn skippy (i.e., I agree).
LOL! I love it, Peter. Im with you, on all 10. And besides, list posts are supposedly easier to read, so you can justify them that way.
10 reasons posts are truly abominable.
Whenever I see a "Ten Reasons" post, usually the last few items are lame filler as the writer ran out of ideas after 7 or 8, or else there are several blatently obvious things they didnt include because people seem to have an aversion to posting "14 reasons" or "18 reasons" threads. Make the darn list as long as there are items to populate it. Grrrr!!!! ** This post was written before I read the article **
Real marketers go to 11 with their link bait.
Being a binary kind of a person, I find 10 Reasons post may have one too many, but I can live with that. I really prefer 100 Reasons posts and I rarely find any of them link bait, even the 11th. :)
I need to have more fun with the lists. I try to avoid them as best I can by judging the tease. But even the silly ones like yours have merit - nice way to break up the info overkill that hits a few times each morning. Love that #7 insight.
Like the 10. Just hoping the Diggsters like a 10 I have an interest in today - 1st and last time Ive linked in a Sphinn comment! - http://digg.com/world_news/Top_Ten_Made_In_Britain
I thought 7 was the magic number? I cant remember the last time I actually clicked to read a post when the headline said top # reasons...
