Now that Ive had time to really dive into the service, experiement with it and learn some of the finer details; I figured its about time I wrote a Seach Engine Guide style guide to the service. This multi-part series will cover everything from how to get an account and get people following you to the finer points of twitter marketing and networking. Its not an outlet that will be worth the time to everyone, but its certainly proven itself to have practical application for me.

My biggest friustration is that the list of messages that you see depends on the client that you are using. Some of what I have sent disappears in some clients and remains visible in others, while some replies are visible in one client but not another. For some people that have replied, i have never been able to see their reply in any client that I have tried.
Awesonme guide - (so much for writing one ;) - As a rookie Twitterer, Im still using the browsser, so havent seen that, but thanks for the heads up, g1smd - I woulnt want to miss a Twit about what Jennifers eaten!
I use the browser. Just yesterday I setup a plugin that auto refreshes screen every 5 min. Working great so far.Wish those on Sphinn that are holding out would come join in. Its a great way to move information quickly.
Twhirl -- excllent client (Windows)
Ok Im going to keep at this for a month myself. How about some of you twitter geniuses post the some good feeds to follow???
Hey SparkieTo start off, I would just subscribe to the more informative people. Not too many or youll get information overload and make sure you get a reader like Twhirl set up. I wrote a few tips here which maybe useful, and saves me typing them out again ;) http://tinyurl.com/288bylhttp://twitter.com/doshdoshhttp://twitter.com/SebastianXhttp://twitter.com/andybealhttp://twitter.com/graywolfhttp://twitter.com/JenniferLaycockhttp://twitter.com/leeoddenhttp://twitter.com/dannysullivanhttp://twitter.com/Rheahttp://twitter.com/toddmintzhttp://twitter.com/johnandrewshttp://twitter.com/seroundtable(I know Ive missed a lot out, but that keeps it low volume)
have to say - the best information i get is from people who arent even involved in the SEO Realm - folks like Shel Isreal, Jeremy Owang, Geoff Livingston, just to name a few.... not to say my SEO friends arent informative, but what twitter gives you is the opportunity to reach out and know people in industries that touch ours........ gives a wonderful perspective! If i have one tip - its dont limit yourself to just people in this industry ... branch out and follow someone who might know what search optimization is, but doesnt necessarily include it as the #1 incomer earner in their portfolio :)
Me too. My first two weeks of joining Twitter, Im asking whats the significance of this and how could I network with people. But glad Ive read some articles about Twitter and the use of twittering. So, I started doing it and Im glad that everyday, the number of followers grow. And now, Ive enjoyed and posted tweets everyday.
