Following the hilarity of the Adwords "Ringtone Bandit",
Google is changing the display URL policy for Adwords on April 1st. This is most likely in response to the recent gaming of adsense by a few individuals who are able to completely dominate the entire page of adwords ads with nearly identical ads.

Not to pull away from the topic at hand, but isn’t it kinda foolish to change any policy on April 1st? Why not wait till the 2nd?

I think it’s an interesting spin but mostly as stated in the article I’m interested to see how people utilize the iFrames to circumvent the new changes. Seems cumbersome? Also I hate to say it but I have to agree with Gamermk it’s kind of an odd day to make such a dramatic change... although I would hope they’d not make me look dumb by taking this serious!
