Sphinn Home » Link Building
Don't let the title fool you - I'm not against buying links. In fact I buy them quite often for clients. However I am frustrated time and time again when searching for good links. I find a great site in which there is an opportunity to buy a paid link but am scared off for one reason or another. Here is a rant of sorts as I list several things that bug me regarding those who sell links.

Good article David. There are so many details that go into link building and link buying. I like your observations and agree, don't make selling links obvious.

I love it when you see stuff like this.

Kinda throws water on all the scaremongering about Google's ability to see hidden, site wide, footer, irrelevant links.

C'mon David, "Things that bug me..."??? "Things that piss me off..." works much better. :)

I have noticed these very same issues lately as I browse for links. It is definitely a case of Buyer Beware. It's your own fault if you don't do a little research first. But who buys links anyway? :)

This is such an important topic. I agree with much of what is written. But, I have many contradictory experiences with buying links, especially site wides. It still seems like sometimes a sitewide buy really works and sometimes it really doesn't. Kind of a crap-shoot... I think sometimes we overestimate Google's capabilities.
