Nice list Vanessa! I’ve also used SEO Digger to locate site rankings for Google. Very slick.

Very nice roundup of tools; cheers to Ms. Mastaler. The Bad Neighborhood tool has definitely saved my bacon in the past, and the MarketLeap linkpop tool (currently misspelled in the article as "Markleap", tsk) has long been a quick ’n’ easy way to communicate to clients how much work we’d need to do to catch up with competitors.

Thank you all for commenting. :)One of the points behind the article was to show the quality of free (totally free) tools out there and give hattips to the people who make them available to us all.   We benefit from their generosity and that’s a great thing. I think leaving tools here and building out this resource is a great idea but can I suggest you add a little ** next to the ones that are paid tools?  Will help keep the spirit of the article going. For example, in the comment above, tool 1. and 3. are paid tools.  So they’d get ** next to them.
