Seems like Google is definitely now offering video optimization work to potential search marketing clients under their own brand name, and not under the name of an acquired subsidiary.

If this is true, it has most disturbing implications, particularly for Google. ’Do No Evil’ should presumably exclude potential Conflict of Interest situations.

Chris, this doesn’t sound like anything familiar to me. Are you sure that someone wasn’t talking about maybe help with file formats for uploading video, e.g. https://upload.video.google.com/video_faq.html#upload5 ? If you can ask for more details what this client is talking about, I’d be happy to look into this more, but it sounds more like a miscommunication to me right now.
