SMX West: Most Popular Guy at the Bar?
An evil green plot to get someone to buy you beer? You be the judge.
I was checking out the SMX Connect pages (very cool) for the SMX West conference that is starting this Tuesday.
I found the tags really interesting, and I found myself browsing through tags for what people listen to, what people watch, what companies they work for, and what search related topics they are most interested in.
Besides the main event, there are luncheon topics for Video, PPC, Local, Branding, and others. But there's one topic not being discussed on the conference floor or the lunches. I suspect if you want to learn more about it, be prepared to belly up to the bar, and get connected with the guy that has the goods.
See my comments (with screenshot link) below. If this is indeed a tactic to get people to buy you beer, it should be on someone's Marketing Tips list. Could make good Beer Bait. :)

lol, I think I'm "most connected" out of default, although still a very nice title to have :o)
But you're right - most of the hardcore people I know will be loosening up in the bars in the evening and too hungover to speak at lunchtime! There's still some great contacts to be made at lunch though, and these tend to be business contacts rather than "I got wasted with that guy" contacts.
Let me know who that guy is as I'll be getting in Mon. at around 5 or 6 pm and will be needing a drink (or 3) I'm sure... :)

I arrive at 5:15 pm, have a local friend picking me up for an In-N-Out Burger run, and then I'll be back at the hotel after that. See y'all tomorrow.

I switched jobs and now am not going to get to go :( I require at least one of you to pour one out for all your homies who couldn't be there... :D
@Matt - "In-N-Out Burger" - I guess if I did not live in Cali, that would be very high on my to-do list too!!
