Yahoo! Local is exciting because it can be identified as one weak spot where Google can quickly be dethroned. Of course, that all depends on how things play out — but I’m impressed by what I am seeing. With that idea in mind, here are three reasons Yahoo! Local should become the local search giant.

Rockin, thanks for the Sphinn! I’m normally not one to criticize Google, but Yahoo! Local really does have a great opportunity here to become a market leader.
They’ve made a lot of cool changes, maybe the most brilliant is a "Best of" in each category. This will get the local business owners promoting Yahoo Local for them. I bet you’ll start seeing this appear on local sites very soon "Voted best of.... -by Yahoo!
