As it is now, it seems more public relations blah blah than anything serious. But steps like that at least show a resolve and hint at a potential way to fight back.In the future, possibly one of the threats to Google will be companies that become so clearly beaten in some areas that they have "nothing" to lose and thus can afford to do things Google wouldn’t want to do for strategic reasons.The more Google becomes the entrenched ruler of the land, the more it will be vulnerable to "subversive", market re-defining tactics.

I wonder if this is where they implement microformats. They code some of their SERPs (e.g., Local) with microformats, but haven’t supported them from the other side yet.The anti-aliased fonts are classic.

In the not too distant future, they need to build a service for people who want actual search results when they search.
