This scam was originally covered pretty well here at Sphinn and the blog world. People were ticked. Now we see the lawsuit....

Network Solutions has forced millions of people to buy Internet domain names from them instead of cheaper competitors through a scheme that's netted the firm millions of dollars, a federal class action lawsuit filed today by Kabateck Brown Kellner, LLP states. ICANN, whose policies facilitate the scheme, is also named in the suit, filed in U.S. District Court, Central District of California.

Great to see this getting mainstream press. Network Solutions has been little more than an oversized playground bully since it's days as a quasi-governmental monopoly. There's no reason a domain name should cost $35, and they definitely don't make up the difference in service.

Nearly all ICANN accredited registrar based in China is cheating registrant by not allowing registrar transfer. ICANN is dead.
