While many people think that the flurry of recent launches from Yahoo! represent nothing more than a cry of desperation, I think Yahoo! Buzz, at least, sets itself apart from the rest. Ultimately, Buzz is very much a beta product - but it has massive potential.

Cry of desperation :) Yahoo has been launching solid stuff consistently. They’re a developer’s dream. Somehow, somewhere they must be missing the boat with their PR. Some things don’t make it "out there" while other things just don’t seem that "hot".Anyway -- as far as I’m concerned, Buzz is great offering. I like the way it is tied to a publisher network. I like how they’ve jumped ahead of Google (again) and are using searches, email and what not to establish what’s the real buzz.

Agreed. I love Yahoo! Pipes and people keep telling me "it’s too hard". Too hard?  It’s easy as pie. Well, maybe "pi".
