From a web developer...this is well said and right on... the pitfall is...most people who need this information will not see its value and will usually shop price rather than looking at the long term ROI that an effective website (and it's tools) brings to the business owner...

I call the "webmaster" you so succinctly nailed Cousin Johnny... everyone has a relative that took some web class - and now calls themselves a professional... it's so frickin laughable.
