Call the hotels on Monday. By then, they should have a better idea of cancellations for the week.
Alaska Airlines has a "web specials" section on their site which has last-minute fares, like for the current and following week (as I recall). SEA to SJC shouldn't be too bad if it's there.

Thanks for a few tips from those I asked directly and here.
I wasn't look for economy as much as convenience, but it's not looking good based on value now. Even from a left coast city I won't get in until late morning, and there is only a one day reg or a full pass. I can't see buying a fullpass to stay two half-days.
