I think this could be a boost for local SEO’s.  It gives a potential broad based awareness among small business owners of SEO as a tool to help them get traffic to their websites and perhaps a taste of the benefits that may just have them desiring more.  Clearly, this Innuity company is not focused on "hands-on" SEO but rather automating the very basics of directory submission.

But with "proper SEO" costing probably a hundred times more than this $25 mickey-mousepissing-in-the-wind type of SEO I think a lot of business owners are going to think that "proper SEO" is either out of their reach and/or a high-priced "rip off", not realising that the ROI on "proper SEO" could be the best thing they have ever done for their business.

Eh, I vote for "ruin our reputation?" The more services that pop-up offering "SEO for $25," the more times I have to explain to a potential client that it’s not $25, and they would likely get better result by putting that money into a bag, lighting it on fire, and throw it out of a moving vehicle. At least that would provide some sort of entertainment.
