5. The guy that drinks to much
Dammit! BOOO HISSSS!
Matt I think you now have at least one good rant for next year's SEMMYs
At the first Keynote from D. Sullivan at SMX West, I looked for my SEO director only to find that he apparently was introduced to the A-list club the night before doing shooters in the bar with some of the top names. He was sick and missed the first 2 hours. He did however develop a much improved respect for the older guys and how they can handle themselves. Way to prove that age and experience do count, big time!
This should be a mandatory read before anyone is allowed entrance to a conference!
Hilarious! And oh so true.
Hmm...wonder if shansen11's boss was the guy in the story? :D
Does anyone realize how many photos are online of drinking, partying and the like after conferences?
There's a few hunded online from the very recent SES London for example, and many more for the more-recent SMX in the US.
@SpostareDuro Yes, and that could be a full time reputation management job for some. :)
Sounds like solid advice Sphunn.
Very funny, esp. #2 - I was just talking to an associate today about my personal favorite - the pushy sales guy who gets up to ask speakers a question and says, "Hi, I'm so and so, with Company X and I just wanted to say how right you are. With us, we see a lot of that...."
I'm not sure if there's a conference pic posted of me without a drink in my hand. Gulp. We'll see how it goes this week with SES NYC pics...
