I've never understood why some people must waste their time (and mine) by criticizing something they don't use and don't like.
I've learned nothing from this post and am moving on...
@Tim, I do use it, and I never said I didn't like it. I said I didn't find it useful. I also made the point that other people may find it useful and that's cool.
What I am presenting is not fact, merely my opinion. I shall continue to waste your time as long as you read my blog.
Yawn but sphunn for a good headline. The mind boggles.
At worst, it's textual "white noise" (which I actually find a little soothing) and at best, it's helped me make some less formal, more personal connections to folks in my industry. But then again, I access it almost exclusively through TwitterFox, so my experience may be different than those using a mobile device.
Um..I'd prefer not to know if someone is taking a leak while Tweeting (did that sound bizarre or what?) But the fact of the matter is, I like learning what it is that makes people tweet, I mean tick..So Twitter good.
Love the title....
Everyone has diff. opinions, likes and dislikes -- that's what makes us all great.
I personally enjoy using Twitter as an additional communication tool, not only sending out info, but more importantly 'listening' to the conversations that are occurring, with the people I choose to follow.
I see it as a giant chat room or cocktail party, where I can hear what the 'buzz' is for that day. Granted there may be some days that have a higher noise ratio. I don't mind that. I consider it to be part of the quirkiness of the network. Passing over a tweet I find useless is like overlooking a feed in my rss reader....on to the next one.
I have been exposed to many great stories, blog posts, and people that I otherwise may not have been.
Thank you Twitter! :)
I found this very helpful to present the other side of the "why everyone is jumping on the Twitter bandwagon" picture. Perhaps the answer is: everybody isn't. :)
I am going to quote the title in an article I'm writing. It's priceless.
I'm Twittering everyday but not as addicted as others are. So far, so good.
