Great article. I think most people who watched the Lacy-Zuckerberg debacle would agree it was a pretty big foul up on her part (of everything I've read only one poster blamed the audience and one blamed Zuckerberg - the rest overwhelmingly thought it was Lacy's fault); but those same people think they'd never commit similar mistakes. Illustrating the social media equivalents highlights how these same mistakes are being committed all the time by people who don't get that social media is also still, fundamentally, about *people* interactions.

The interview is painful enough to watch but I found myself gasping at her debrief interview.  You'd think an "experienced journalist" would know better than to blame everyone else in such an egotistical manner.  it is an excellent example of what not to do and thus very instructive. (I'd love to be a fly on the wall at her next performance review at Biz Week!)
