Of www and non-www, make sure that one redirects to the other. To expose both to the outside world, with both directly serving content, would be an indexing disaster.
If you go with content at non-www you lose the benefit of being able to use the site:domain.com -inurl:www search to spot any content being indexed under alternative sub-domains.
I often type in domain.com rather than http://www.domain.com/ and I expect the site to correctly redirect to the full domain, adding the www on the way.
