The real news here is that Aaron's post prompted Google to fix JoeAnt's PageRank.

Many Google reviewers don't know wtf they're doing. Some are fresh out of college and never heard of joeant. Some are making up their own rules as they go along.

He had sites turned down by JoeAnt? They must have been awfully low quality. And the same sites were accepted by Yahoo!? I didn't know Yahoo! was that easy. (I mean, I know they need the money, but...)

Penalizing Joe Ant was the most ignorant move on the part of Google yet. Penalize Business.com or some of the directories whose owners Matt is friends with.
