There was an SEO guy from Amex at our table at lunch today at SES NY.  I asked him a few questions about some of these very things- apparently they’ve had some turnover there and haven’t been able to get a lot of SEO traction in house.  The word ’dabbling’ was used.  I didn’t have the heart to really press him any further- I chickened out in the name of cordiality.

seems to be a trend these days...deriding SEO while also employing it. The sad thing is they really don’t need an incredible link builder or content provider, just a run of the mill seo guy to fix up their on-page indicators.
