Thank you for submitting the post, but I doubt that it will make it to the front as it is too much fun and not enough substance. Most users of Sphinn favor die hard "SEO is work" articles. That’s why I did not submit it myself...

We’ll see. As this place is currently being swamped by highly topical stuff about wrestling, video-to-dvd conversion tips, data recovery, video stream repair and similar spam, maybe it’ll stand a chance after all. :-) Oh, and let’s not forget those wonderful poker affiliate tips, been eagerly waiting for those - LOL.

So coming here for my poker help isn’t the right place? Damn I must have taken the wrong door. Steve

Not swamped on the home page, Fantomaster. Don’t know what else you want said. I’ve gone over it many times that yes we remove off topic stuff from What’s New, yes we are doing that, and yes, we’ll probably bring in the bury feature so members can do that directly. I think we can hang in a week or two longer for that feature to be introduced properly and the community to be comfortable with it.

@Danny: Swamped on the "What’s New" page is enough for me to make things friggin’ difficult to follow. And yes, I’m with you re the "Bury" feature though that will obviously create problems of its own if the likes of Digg etc. are anything to go by, but what the heck. However - until it’s implemented, why not let people simply bitch about it aplenty? Alternately, they might post about "Top 10 Reasons Why Sphinn Should Include a Bury Feature" from morning till night... :-)

You can totally keep bitching if you want :) For me, the only problem with that is I have to come in and keep saying what I’ve said, so that people new to the conversation don’t think I’m somehow ignoring the issue. And I’m totally not. It’s just something I can’t work on solving more until next week and the week after. So I’m saying hang in there if you can. As for bury, I’m sure we’ll bring that in. But we need to talk about it publicly first, especially in terms of whether buries that people do should be made public.

Stop bitching in my post’s comments or I will punish you by outranking your site for it’s main keywords! I didn’t notice seoninjas.net before so otherwise it would have been "The 8 SEO Blogs..."!

@Tad: "seoninjas.net" ain’t funny, mate - it’s the nekkid truth LOL. Loved that bit "How to increase the size of your ePenis"... @Danny: Thanks for officially endorsing bitching! You all saw it here first! :-) And don’t want to contribute that discussion prematurely ("he said and set out to do just that", heh) but maybe a "Spam" button (in addition to a "Sink") might help alert the mods a mite faster - could be reserved for privileged user who’d be accountable to the mods in private). That way, you might get a volunteer posse of deputy sheriffs to assist the process. Just a thought. And now, off to some fresh bitching (Danny said I could!!!) about the latest posts focused on mounting CD and DVD images and extracting content from MSI files...

I can assure you that you won’t be seeing posts from that particular site any longer. They can’t say they weren’t warned.

I know you are all super SEO’s but don’t forget that many of us common folk have no idea what "SEO" means. If you are at all targeting niche markets maybe consider some phrases specific to those markets. I found a great domain in my niche [keyword]homepage.com, and as cheesy as a name like that may appear, my peers understand its meaning. Just food for thought.

@Tad: Seems we made it to the home page after all, eh? Ah, how quality rules! :-) @planetc1: It’s a question of what it’s about - if you’re not actually targeting people who have no idea what "SEO" means, it makes perfect sense to use the term: Unfocused and unqualified traffic can, after all, be just as costly and time consuming as getting none at all. As for niches: Absolutely with you. I’d always prefer e.g. "ViagraHomepage.com" or "PenisEnlargementHome.com" to "ViagraSEOMasters.info" or similar LOL.
