Mapspam has spilled over into the affiliate marketing world.
Affiliates insert links with their affiliate codes instead of direct links
Problem is the search engines will have to react to this at some point making life more difficult for honest users
As an affiliate marketing introduction to those not in the know, affiliate marketing is an honest business. It is just the bad apples that do these below the belt things. They are variously refered to as spammers or black hat marketers
Your point about business owners not necessarily qwanting to give the address of their business is a valid one
In affiliate marketing, we tend to run our businesses from home and i would not want my home address all over the net. The security issues are just too real
