Yeah. I'm still waiting for web designers/developers to take onboard basic, structural SEO. Just because jobs can or should merge doesn't necessarily mean they do.

I tend to think there will always be room somewhere for specialists -- people that are excellent at a singular task. Marketers with a variety of skills are also valuable, too. There should be room enough for all kinds of employees.
