The trick is to expect failure and learn what you can from what doesn't work, and what does work, to make your way to satisfaction and success.

What they don't tell you is planning can be a VERY messy process, where your plan keeps breaking when you try to use it and you have to keep remaking it so that you eventually get it to work.
