I couldnt agree more!Usability / Analytics isnt as sexy as SEO and as such many folks spend too much in SEO first THEN do the usability / analytics AFTER the SEO doesnt convert. Wrong way to look at it.
I wanted to desphinn this but couldnt for technical reasons, so Ill comment instead. This article is a rehash that adds nothing to most peoples knowledge. Yeah, analytics pros are worth their weight in gold. If thats a revelation worth going hot for, then...
You assume that everyone knows what you know, Gab.I dont have a problem with the post as long as people are Sphinning it because it enriches their understanding (and not because it comes from a well-known site or source).Plus I like the "recession-proof" angle!
Im with Gab on this one. We have our own recession proof tactics. To my surprise, non of them appeared in the article. The blog post title was misleading in my opinion.
Im not assuming it Hugo, but I find it highly surprising that a community that said it sphinns stuff thats new and fresh to it would have this go hot. Id find the thread here, but Ive got other things to do...And recession proof? Come on ... Slingshot hit the nail on the head: This article finds a nice angle but doesnt cover recession-proofing at all. It covers what the subhead says: the ROI on these three tactics. And pretty generally, at that, by citing figures from bigname sources. Did you need to be told that analytics, usability and seo will make you more money?
I hear you, Gab.Ironically enough, I didnt sphinn this article for the reasons that you outline. I guess Im just giving folks the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they did get something out of this.Could be wrong, though.
Glad were making sense to each other Hugo. On a related note, Sphinn has an anti-criticism squad. Voting down the previous comment for legitimate criticism? Pfft.
Blatant comment spam with link drops (nofollowed no less) on Sphinn, really???!!!!
