Many brands now seem to be realising that Universal Search can send websites more traffic and is something they can have control over to influence results.

No. Nobody should have any focus on universal search. Don't include any images, never upload video, forget about adding address data, leave the pdfs on the hard drive, and let me continue my work in peace. :)

I just saw someone spamming here last night to get their video on a variety of powerful domains linked up and ranking. web email software or some such title. luckily, Chris Winfield handled it quick :)
