Was exploring my options for a new SEO job, and I was stunned to see the huge increase in demand for SEOs and PPCers in the last few months.

The web is waking up, realizing the need for SEO. It is definitely an exciting time to be in the search marketing industry.

You should link to the sources of those graphs to allow people to tinker around with their own comparisons. http://www.indeed.com/jobtrends?q=SEO%2CPPC&l=

I couldn’t agree more with this title... :) It’s a great time to be a professional, trained SEM right now. The trend is that salaries are higher, the work is good, you are generally regarded as an expert (which always feels nice) and you tend to work in a larger team environment where there are resources available to you to get the job done. Yep - good time to be an SEM - a real SEM that is...those with "SEO software" and two weeks knowledge need not apply.

I put a comment on his blog yesterday and it’s still not approved. It says to email him if you have questions, yet the about me page has no email address. Hmmm. Me thinks this article won’t serve it’s intended purpose in this current state.

dalka, Sorry about that, fixed now. I just installed the blog a few days ago and haven’t gotten around to setting up the Akismet key. Comments should be fine now.
