A simple way to get found on the search engines in front of your audience is to blog about conferences in your industry. Taken off of Andrew’s post: "Trade shows and professional gatherings such as Meetups can be great for your business. You get access to a lot of potential customers in one place and they are usually there to do business. So what’s the next best thing to going to a trade show? Ranking at the top of Google for searches for that trade show."

Another great post from Andrew. I can tell you this technique works very well, especially if you are in an industry or locale that requires meetings / events.Even if you’re not, any small business can gather up information about rotary meetups, lions club meetings, trade shows in town, chamber events, school events, local fairs, etc. and provide the community a service by incorporating this info into one’s blog.Give some local link love in your community, it will come back to you.
