Its not that these sources are "little known"... its that most of them drive bogus traffic.And from what I remember, Yahoo! Paid Inclusion doesnt allow you to place ads in organic listings, it just ensures your site gets spidered often and allows you to control title and descriptions while charging you every time some clicks on your listing(s).
Yes, some of the content networks mentioned do have a reputation for unqualified traffic, but shopping portals and Yahoo search submit are great methods for commerce sites to drive traffic. Although not sure if any of those are little known.In my experience, Search Submit Pro will effectively get you on the first page for .28 a click.
@Chris1: In yahoo paid inclusion you have the option of writing the description lines that appear in the organic SERPs, which can be completely different from the meta description normally pulled. I have found that if I implement best practices strategies on the 2nd tier sites I have decent conversion rates, but much lower click-through rates.
This list is of very low quality, could not be considered "little known" and should not be recommended to SEMs. Plus the info on paid inclusion seems to be wrong.
