A very interesting reputation management story.... Twitter As An Early Stage Warning System For Brands And Companies


TechCrunch; And this brings me to the point of this post. Within 20 minutes of my first Twitter message I got a call from a Comcast executive in Philadelphia who wanted to know how he could help. He said he monitors Twitter and blogs to get an understanding of what people are saying about Comcast, and so he saw the discussion break out around my messages.

Well I’m sure if you’re Michael Arrington perhaps influential people are following you and would be most delighted to jump in and resolve your downtime problem or even your chicken problem.  For many of us, I think it would be like dropping a stone down a deep well and never hearing the splash.

actually they are monitoring everyone on twitter I posted on twitter yesterday that I had problems with comcast to test if they were really there, and in 10 minutes I got e response.
