FTW ?
Haha @ FTW. RSS is where it's at!
RSS where it's at, but you need to make sure you're grabbing the right RSS feeds; the ones that you have control over and the ones that will benefit you the most.
In addition to having RSS, you must have sustainable value. Traffic from RSS doesn't mean anything unless you have something valuable for your visitors read. It helps to creatively write good (useful) content with a powerful Lede (interesting) and use that to hook them in on visiting and engaging with your blog entry.
RSS feeds generated by your social bookmarks and social media contributions are one of those things that are easily neglected and, as the article suggests, are well worth promoting in their own right.
However, I just wonder how much this is adding noise to an increasingly crowded arena. As InfusionJoe suggests, there needs to be a value add for visitors in order for this to be worthwhile.
Come across this post yesterday. True, having RSS feeds help a lot, big time.
