I received a similar message through our contact form. My personal opinion is, if you're sorry, find another job. I had the same attitude when telemarketers used to apologize and play the whole "I'm sorry for calling unsolicited and trying to sell you stuff you don't want and can't afford, I'm just a poor waif trying to make a living," spiel.

If you have to apologize for doing your job and you don't really feel bad, you have character issues. If you have to apologize for doing your job and you really do feel bad, you probably need to find a new job. Either way--I'm not paying you for doing a job you have to apologize for.
