An after effect perhaps would be a buzzing domain marketplace.. especcially with domain prices set to go every year.. people might rather invest in existing mature domains... you will also find better word combinations in older domains .. interesting..
Twist upon twist upon twist... in patents. No sign of similar smartness in the actual search engine, though. Perhaps they’re taking part in the "Who can build the best SE in theory?" competition.
