An "SEO agency" called Internet Advancement has been sued by Washington State and required to pay over $100,000 in fees for scamming its clients. Among the restitution includes penalties against offering services to new members and requiring refunds to be handed to scammed clients.

I mentioned this when it was in the early stages, some 5 months ago: Internet Advancement sued by State of Washington.  Nice to see a result at last.

I posted about their aggresive cold calls at the beginning of last year. I can’t believe they carried on trading as Internet Advancement with all the bad press being written about them. They were real slime balls - let’s hope that is the end of them!

As a startup SEO firm, I enjoy reading things like this - futhering my stance on what my firm will -NOT- be doing. Is it so hard to just offer quality service and not make false promises?
