Glen, that was an awesome analysis. It should have taken a long time. Thanks for such a good information.
Thanks, much appreciated
Excellent Social Media analysis as per usual. The top users amount of thumbs up (130k) is simply staggering.
Nice work. Think we are all seeing more of stumbleupon in our stat logs, your report helps to understand who those users are.
Thanks guys, Im really glad you all like it
Glen, youve been working hard to spread the word about your blog and youre doing a fantastic job of it. Your posts are proving to be a resourceful contribution to our industry. Keep up the good work!
gave it a stumble and a sphinn. Thanks for sharing
I was disappointed to find out that after several months building a profile that since it was rated R when I created it, the profile will never reach the top stumbles page. You have some very good stats, keep it up!
Squareoak, Im a big fan of yours so that means a lot. Likewise to you for keeping up the good work! Cheers Natural Woman AGW - I didnt know that, interesting, Cant say Im surprised to be honest. Thanks for the kind words
Well done, Glenn. Good data for us to chew on...
Thanks Matt :)
Great job, Glen. I really enjoyed reading the information. Thanks for taking the time to put it all together and then sharing it with everyone :)
Hey Viper really nice..very insightful, good work! Keep it up, this is what its all about, sharing unique and relevant content . Thx man!
While landing on the top stumbler page may be valuable, I dont know how much it will contribute to being able to drive traffic. If you want to do a follow-up study contact each of the top stumblers and ask them to give you the size of their network. Look at the Buzz page and see if any of them is regularly featured there. I found that dominating the reviews on that page can greatly increase readership and the amount of traffic you can drive. Part of the criterion for becoming a "Top Stumbler" is simply to click the stumble button over and over. Hopefully the algorithm also considers the quality of the reviews written, the number of other SU members who put thumbs up, add their own reviews, or vote helpful yes/no. While this is interesting, it may not be the best way to drive traffic or evaluate authority at SU. Besides knowing the size of their network I would want to see if any of the "Top Stumblers" profile names show up in your analytics. I suspect that having a stumbler who knows your niche, how to write compelling reviews, how to use keyword tags, and how to grow a network would be far more effective at driving traffic than anyone whose claim to fame is being on the Top Stumbler page.
