BUT - I also love playing devil's advocate and anytime I am in a room filled with 'yes' people - I instantly want to consider the argument for 'no.' So while my overall views remain the same, certain things have been bugging me lately about "social media" and other buzzwords that are constantly shoveled into my internet experience.

I am the author: I'm happy to discuss the issues of this in more depth. It's not the most thought-out post: More of a gut-reaction/feeling kind of post. But I'm willing to bet a lot of people feel like me.
being prone to gut-reaction posts myself i am happy to see i'm not the only one afflicted. and, by the way, i agree that so much of what get's writting online (especially in the name of SEO) is rehashed and repurposed.
I agree that Social outlets are becoming quickly saturated and incestuous. However, I don't know how we can really stop this trend, Shrug...I guess the best I can do is not to do it myself?
I'm STILL waiting for someone to tell me what ANTI social media is. I hate buzzwords...
anti-social media? I think we call that the paparazzi.

So we should all just top ourselves now and get it over with? Has it ever struck you Dave that it's a GOOD thing that more voices can be heard thanks to social media? God I hate all these damn social media consultants. Except me. I rule.
To be fair, I understand the point (and agree to a point) but it can't help but be self-defeating when said feelings are expressed on a blog.
