Bill gives us a little background on the whole - Google Form Search methodologies and some insight into what to expect.(the post ain't new, but VERY relevant with recent discussions)

-SEO by the SEA - There are a number of strategies used in this document to return a result from a deep web database to a searcher. Generally, those try to understand the source of the information, the forms used and how they work, information associated with each field of each form, content that may be retrieved by using the forms, how to rank the information that may be found in response to filling out a form, and a location associated with that information if necessary.

Thanks for sphinning this post, Dave. A little surprising given its age, but the patent application does provide a lot of information about how this might work.
