Well I hope it doesn't become the "next Digg" because I far prefer it, but in general the article is a good breakdown of what makes Mixx a good site. Note sure about their stating the need for "competitions and lucky draws" to improve the site, surely those are just gimmicks. Mixx needs to keep doing what it's doing - pulling in high quality stories and honest ratings, good commentary and highly responsive development staff.

great comment, thats just along the lines of promotions, which they do interestingly with the rewards and medals thing.

Mixx is cool but it won't become as popular as digg because it's "late train".

Next digg.. hehe.

Friendly and fun to use.. sure. But still, I like reddit better than mixx.

Marketing point of view.. Hah.. I will still take 1000s of links and 100,000+ UVs over Mixx's one link or two and less than 100 visits any day..

Sorry..

But i do pray and hope that Mixx does become huge... like i pray my lotto numbers come through.

Mixx is better thus Mixx will win in the long term, like the DVD overcame VHS although it came later.

If they keep going they have a chance, although its certainly not going to happen overnight

To help, why not everyone twitter a link to mixx
