Ummm... It’s nice of Ann to explain her situation, and we all hope she gets better soon, but why exactly is this post getting Sphunn...? It’s simply an ’I’ve been sick and will be back soon’ notice. Sure... Ann writes great articles, but this isn’t an article. It’s not news.If this makes the front page I’ll be disappointed.
@ James - That’s why there’s a topic called "water cooler" in which this post was properly recorded. Ann Smarty has many friends here and when "one of our own", is absent for awhile, it’s nice to read news that she’s doing well.
It’s not an attack Sean. I am in fact a subscriber of Ann’s blog and read most of her work. I had overlooked the water cooler categorisation, but I’m not sure that really changes my question as to whether this belongs within the top news of the day.
James: I used poor judgement on the ’Sphinn’ myself. I should have just welcomed her back without Sphinning.
@ all - please feel free to desphinn - I think this fits in well with the water cooler story, and no offense was meant at anyone, nor the improper use of sphinn. But if a sphinn about which video games you likes fits in water cooler, why wouldnt the welcoming back of a well respected blogger?
Just to be clear guys, I’m certainly not offended by this post. Nor do I think it really deserves a Desphinn. I have no problems with the submission itself, and am fine with it residing in the water cooler section. I just didn’t think it belonged in the Top 10 list for new posts. Just my two cents...
@JamesDuthie unfortunately its just an automated system - if its had a certain amount of sphinns, it wil lsite there ;)
Guys, I agree with everyone here. My only concern is that Sean got downvotes because of me. You are all my friends and I am happy to be back, please don’t argue because of me :(
I love you all individually but hate the recent number of non-search, non-marketing, non-anything more than an IM should require getting front page... I know it is in watercooler and that is why i desphunn instead of discarded it.. :(
