This is a great post, particularly this point that Dave mentions: If you never go to the gym, the cost of membership was a waste of money; "One of the most common reasons why SEO campaigns fail is because the client does not act upon the recommendations of the SEO consultant they paid top dollar for. In my short experience I find myself going back to past clients sites to look for changes that we recommended to them and, in many cases, little to no action has been taken. If Im going to pay top dollar for that membership you better believe Im going to use it.
